Amplience’s Hybrid Commerce Innovation Event

As the Event Venue Manager at the Science Museum, I led the coordination of Amplience’s hybrid commerce innovation event, which explored the future of digital business transformation. Originally planned for February 2020 in Illuminate, the event was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Rescheduled 18 months later, it transformed into a hybrid format with 70 in-person attendees at the Smith Centre and 100 virtual participants via the Bizzabo platform. The event featured a keynote speech by Professor Brian Cox, adding significant prestige and drawing attention to the importance of innovation and transformation in commerce experiences.

The Smith Centre was chosen for its intimate yet professional setting, creating a close-knit atmosphere while accommodating all event elements in one space. The boardrooms provided additional flexibility for breakout sessions, speaker preparation, and filming. White Light, the AV partner, delivered an impressive technical setup, including a 96-inch LED screen, side screens, lapel microphones, and live-streaming capabilities. Their work ensured a seamless experience for virtual attendees, integrating dynamic camera angles, synchronized slide presentations, and a smooth stream. Moving Venue catered the event with exceptional refreshments, discreetly served during sessions to maintain the event's flow and focus.

Attendees, both in-person and virtual, gave glowing feedback. Guests on-site appreciated the high-quality environment, while virtual participants commended the polished production and exclusive digital content. Brian Cox’s keynote was a highlight, inspiring conversations around innovation and the future of digital transformation.
