Launch Event for the Royal Osteoporosis Society

As the Event Venue Manager, I had the honour of delivering the inaugural event at the newly launched Illuminate: the dual celebration of the Royal Osteoporosis Society’s transition and the world’s first Osteoporosis and Bone Research Academy. With HRH The Duchess of Cornwall attending as President, the event required meticulous planning to manage the heightened security and logistical challenges of hosting a royal guest in a brand-new venue. Our team worked closely with royal security, media teams, and the charity to ensure a seamless and safe experience for all.

Illuminate’s two-level design enhanced the event’s storytelling. Level 5 celebrated past achievements, with HRH unveiling the new branding in a symbolic moment. Level 4 focused on future ambitions, inviting attendees to engage with the charity’s mission through financial or personal support. The new space’s sleek design and panoramic views of London provided an inspiring backdrop, while AV solutions from White Light—including live streaming between floors—ensured all guests stayed connected.

As the first event in Illuminate, we faced challenges with tight timelines and ensuring every detail of the new space was ready for such a high-profile launch. Despite this, the event was a resounding success. Moving Venue delivered thoughtful catering that balanced celebration with practicality, while guest feedback highlighted the professionalism and warmth of the team. This landmark event set the tone for Illuminate as a world-class venue for impactful gatherings.
